Two Months Old

This past Monday Lillian turned 2 months old! We took her to the doctors yesterday and she is doing fabulously. She's now 11lbs 8oz. and she's grown 3 inches since birth! Amazing! 

Some of her accomplishments this month include: 

Rolling from back to side

Sitting up with assistance

Makes sounds other than crying - Cooing

Sleeping in her crib

Bringing both hands together

Grasps objects (especially Mommy's hair)

Smiles a lot and in response to people and things.

Sitting up with the help of the couch.

 

We're still working on the Bumbo Seat.

We're so proud and can't wait to see what the next month brings!

"Talking" to Mommy

Lily has been "talking" more and more lately. Here is a little snippet.

Hiking

We went for a short hike yesterday in the Watchung Reservation. Lillian slept most of the way, while Mommy got a good work out. 

Here we're trying to sneak up on a couple of bunnies we found eating their lunch.

Sunshine

We thought this rainy day needed a little sunshine.

Rolling?

Somebody rolled from her back to her side and back again tonight all by herself - twice!

Here's a little video of her not rolling to her side. You know how it goes - by the time you grab the camera the excitement's over! 

We're sure she's be rolling over in no time!

Homemade Gifts: Part 2

Kelly's sister Melissa made us uncountable number of  handmade gifts. She is beyond talented! Here's Lily sleeping with one of her favorite quilts that Melissa made.

Kelly made wall art for Lillian. The nursery theme is woodlands, so it includes a bunch of woodlands creature illustrations and a few posters. 

Here is the ABC poster she made. She's hoping to set up shop on Etsy soon to sell some of these designs. 

Visit from the Rodgers!

Last weekend the Rodger's family (Kelly's aunt & uncle and also God-parents) came up from Richmond to meet Lillian. We had a very busy weekend!

Lillian had a big weekend! Her first trip to a restaurant. Linner (Lunch/Dinner) at the Olive Garden!

 Lucky for us she slept the entire time!

Lily also had her first trip to a museum. The Morristown Museum. Here we are at the Roots of Rock and Roll Exhibit fooling around.
